About the N.L.C.A.

The N.L.C.A. is a non profit organisation the aims of which are to encourage and promote the professionalism of member companies and to provide the public with an assurance of quality service.
To achieve these aims we have laid down certain objectives as minimum requirements for our members. These are:
  1. All members must carry out regular safety checks on all vehicles they operate.
     
  2. To upload the N.L.C.A. standards of honesty, reliability, integrity and responsibility.
     
  3. To promote the networking to the mutual benefit of members.
     
  4. To assist each other in times of breakdowns, accidents or other unforeseen emergencies.
     
  5. To promote membership of he N.L.C.A. by operators and companies of proven quality and reliability and associate members.
     
  6. To lay down a formal Code of Practice including conduct regarding referrals, cross hires and "ownership" of clients.
     
  7. To keep abreast of current legislation and to ensure that all members are operating fully within the law, on all vehicles.
     
  8. All members should be subject to C.R.B. checks within 3 months of membership.
     
  9. To raise public awareness of the N.L.C.A. and the benefits of the service and reliability that they will achieve by using the N.L.C.A. members.
